It won’t take a genius to realize that Caribbean Stud Poker has its origin roots in the Caribbean islands. The game gained popularity and from there it took wings and soon spread to casinos in America and Europe. Caribbean stud poker is one of the poker variations of regular five-card stud poker, which is played on a standard blackjack-sized table. The feature that it offers a progressive jackpot sets itself apart from other poker variations.
When playing Caribbean Stud Poker game online, you will have to make an initial Ante bet by clicking on the chips in your chip stack. After clicking "Deal" you and your opponent will be dealt 5 cards each. You will be able to see one of the dealer's cards. It will depend on you whether to fold or call. If you fold, then the ante bet is forfeited. If you will place a call, then you will have to place a call bet which will be exactly two times the ante bet.
If the call bet is placed then the dealer has to check whether his/her hand qualifies. For the dealer to qualify, he/she must have an Ace King or better card combination. If the dealer does not qualify then you will be paid 1 to 1 against the ante bet and the call bet is returned.
If the dealer qualifies then the dealers’ hand and your hand is compared. If you have a better hand then you will be paid 1 to 1 against the ante bet, and at the "bonus payouts" rate against the call bet.
If the dealer and you play the same poker hand, then the left over cards are taken in to consideration. If all the cards are equal then the hand is considered to be void and thus neither the ante nor the additional bet is lost.
Finally you will have to remember that you have an upper hand in winning money when you are playing for the pot.
