Single And Multi Table Tournaments

To participate in a game of online poker against players all over the world is a life enhancing experience. In the beginning of the tournament all the participants are distributed chips in the same quantity. Players play game after game till the time; all the chips are accumulated by one of the player. To make the game more exciting, the pots get larger and larger with the recurring blinds and antes.

Mainly there are two kinds of poker events: Single-Table and Multi-Table Tournaments.

In Single-Table, the games are played only on one table. The game begins when all the seats gets full. The payouts here are on a fixed basis. Some single table tournaments winners do not get cash instead as a prize they get to play in the multi-table tournament.

Participants intending to play Multi-Table Tournaments should book their seats in the tournament in advance. There will be some players going out of the tournament as soon as their chips are over, this way the tournament goes on to merge tables. Payouts fixed in a Multi-Table Tournament are on the basis of other factors such as, the number of competitors, the stake amount etc. Some tournaments where rebuy/add-on are practiced the there may be a rise of the prize pool when it is time for rebuy/add-on.

If there are more tables the games are  played on multiple tables at the same time. Those players who are out of the game, maybe shifted to other tables to be have stability in the games and also to keep it full of excitement. The tables are reduced when most of the seats are vacant, and gradually only one table exists on the floor. And the one who wins in this table is the final winner!

A player wishing to participate in the tournament should buy the “buy-in”, in addition to the fee that takes care of the tournament hosting charges. The money paid for the buy-in is added to the prize pool.
